Most of these are animal instincts, imbibed in us. They could be in traits or genes, dominant or recessive.

But since we are animals rooted on to a society for our communal living we better recognize these animistic behavior in us, which we slowly ought to shrug out from. It is a form of our natural evolution, to shrug away our old nature, stretch out our wings and loom into the future.

Animals to Unlearn

Frog Croaking :

We brag a lot, about our genealogy, about our language, and feel good about it. When we tell out any old memories about our past achievements or travel, it makes us happy. We feel elated. All of us have a good feeling after we have talked/ bragged. There is nothing wrong in having pride, But to go on gloating about it and not getting back to the purpose of talk or event, tend us to deviate the direction completely. It is wrong. Effect could be disastrous.

It is like Frog Croaking. A frog croaks for a reason, to attract its mate. But sometimes you get eaten up by a predator due to the loud noise it makes and all that croaking ends up vain.

Boasting / Bragging – Is there any achievable goal behind it or is it just an animal behavior ? – Think about it.

Crab Mentality :

We do not want our neighbors in a better position than us. Be it a car, or any house hold things. If anyone surpasses a limit, we have a mentality to bring them or the event at least to a point that it alters us or disturbs us. Only our civilized brain, thinks other wise and tries to smooth things out. But mostly we fail, We fall into the groove, and succumb to unwanted results which we later regret.

Did you know that a bucket full of crabs will never get out and walk away? That’s because the other crabs will pull the climbing crab back into bottom. They do not do that with known intention, That’s my point . We also do not do it with motive, But it happens naturally. Now it is up to us to decide whether we want to shun away this mental crab nature within us, so we all could have better future.

Rhino Charge :

We are self protective of our space, and someone who parks vehicle close to us, somehow irritates us. Or while in a queue if someone comes close enough, we just want to move away. We get annoyed, we are disturbed and we get angry. And then we give a loud honk. Same thing in at office or mall we just get irritated. We react.

A Rhinoceros gets easily offended and is very self protective of its territory. But then in no time, it charges. And it does not have a good stopping mechanism either, which results in crack of a tree or its horn. Once our anger is charged and is set into motion, there are sure some consequences caused by it.

Sloth Moves :

Some things are to be done slowly, in patience. But not all. Some situations require us to act swiftly or do continuously. But, we do not do that. Well as working people, we procrastinate doing things. We become sluggish and lethargic.

A Sloth seldom makes fast moves. And it looks as if it enjoys its lazy movements, just like we enjoy our laziness. ( Yeah I agree. Even I enjoy. ) We accept the feeling that we are lazy and we justify that….. We are happy about it too.
